Rob Zombie is back and bringin' out the Horror theme on this tour with a vengeance!! Not since the "Sinister Urge" tour has the shock master stalked the stage in all his gory glory. The “Zombie” man kick's off the ‘Hellbilly Deluxe 2’ tour before the actual CD comes out Nov 17th, in Phoenix, Az. on October 29th, Las Vegas October 30th (At which the horror convention, Fangoria, will be at the Palm's Hotel with a few of his actors from his movies past will be making guest appearances), and a special Halloween show on October 31st, that will not soon be forgotten at the Palladium in L.A.

I got to eavesdrop on the Zombie Teleconference and heard all the gory details about the show in L.A., which will be a re-creation of the concert scene in ‘Halloween 2’ that was just in theaters. He went through "great lengths" to make it a spectacle of horror and the macabre just for the Halloween crowd and it will be all fire and brimstone, quite literally, as this is the only venue on the tour that is allowing massive pyro. I can just imagine being up front at this show losing my eyebrows to the intense heat! Rob is taking his buddies from the H2 movie, Captain Clegg and the Night Creatures out with him, and also The Nekromantix, on the 2009 tour. It goes from Oct 29th in Phoenix until Dec. 5th in D.C., and then will start again in the cities they missed after the New Year until about this time in 2010, he said.
Rob Zombie, born Robert Cummings, in Feb of 1966, has come a long way since being a production assistant for the classic children's TV series “Pee-Wee's Playhouse”. Creating his band White Zombie in 1992, and then going solo in 1995, he has since directed all of his videos, did the hallucinatory sequence of the feature “Beavis & Butt-Head Do America”, sold 15 million CDs worldwide since his musical inception, and written and directed “House of 1000 Corpses”, and it's follow up, "The Devils Rejects". His recent movie venture was the re-makes of the classics, "Halloween" and "Halloween 2". When asked about doing television he said he really didn't have any time for that as it would consume all his time. He would love to venture into making a Halloween theme park one day but it would have to be when he had a lot of time to dedicate to it. He designed a horror display for the Universal Studio's amusement parks in 2000 and would love to do something like that again in the future. Zombie is the executive producer of the forthcoming animated film "The Haunted World of El Superbeasto"; based upon his comic book series, "The Adventures of El Superbeasto" (which appeared in his Spookshow International comic book). It was released Sept. 22nd of this year. He is also toying with the idea of re-making the 1950's classic horror film, "The Blob", and next he will be directing a new movie for Dimension Films known as "Rob Zombie's Tyrannosaurus Rex".
