Since the genre of Rock N Roll was given its name in 1952, we have seen a plethora of styles pervade the genre.  From Metal to Punk to Blues Rock, Straight Rock, and everything else you can imagine, it has been amazing. The last few years especially so, with all of the great new music that has been flooding forth.  Headroom is no exception to this.

Their new album is entitled ‘Radio Cries’, and is just wonderful.  Each song has a little vignette that goes along with it to help tell the story contained in each of the songs.  That story I will leave to you to find out, just like a great movie with twists and turns, I don’t want to ruin the ending.  The ballads and the harder songs are all here.  Unique to this album is the uncanny feeling that you have heard each of these songs before.  The vocals, in particular, help to create an old familiar feeling of “I know I have heard this before”, but you haven’t because each of these songs is new and unique. The musicianship is exemplary and stellar and they have gone above and beyond what many may expect of a Rock album. The last track, if you keep letting the CD play after the song finishes, has a little surprise ending in store that wraps up the story contained within very nicely.

This is one of those albums that has instant classic written all over it, and yet at the same time, is fresh and new in style and feel.  Headroom has done an amazing job and is very deserving of the phrase “Job well done” in regards to what they have created here on ‘Radio Cries’.  This is definitely one to check out!!!
