METALLICA REACHES AN UNPRECEDENTED MILESTONE AS THE FIRST BAND TO PLAY SEVEN CONTINENTS IN THE SAME YEAR WITH RARE ANTARCTICA CONCERT
SAN FRANCISCO, CA - DECEMBER 10, 2013 - Metallica broke through another barrier yesterday by becoming the first and only band in history to perform concerts on all seven continents in the same year. This past Sunday, December 8th, the multi-platinum, award-winning band brought their live show to Antarctica and performed at a site near the heliport at Carlini Argentine Base, making them the only foreign band to play on the continent.
As another first for the band and due to the unique conditions of Antarctica, Metallica performed without amplifiers, broadcasting audio from their career spanning set to the audience members via headphones, much like a silent disco. The audience for this once-in-a-lifetime gig was made up of contest winners from five Latin American countries and the unique setting allowed the band and its fans to participate in an expedition to see the wonders of a place reserved for peace, international cooperation, and science. The show was streamed to residents of all Spanish-speaking Latin American countries last night. See below for video and images from this one-of-a-kind experience.
In other Metallica news, their groundbreaking 3D feature film, Metallica Through The Never, directed by award-winning filmmaker Nimród Antal, will be released on DVD, Blu-ray, 3D Blu-ray, digitally, and V.O.D. (Video On Demand) on January 28, 2014 through Blackened Recordings. To check out the various formats available and extensive bonus content available, click HERE.
The band also recently announced that they will spend the summer touring Europe and as a special tribute to their fans, introduced "Metallica By Request". Fans who purchase tickets online to see the upcoming European dates will be invited to vote on 17 of the 18 slots in the set list; the last being reserved by the band for brand new song. Visit www.metallica.com for more information on the voting process and to see a complete list of upcoming live dates.
Metallica Freeze 'Em All in Antarctica
Formed in 1981 by drummer Lars Ulrich and guitarist and vocalist James Hetfield, Metallica have become one of the most influential and commercially successful rock bands in history, having sold 110 million albums worldwide and playing to millions of fans the world over. They have scored several multi-platinum albums, including 1991's Metallica (commonly referred to as "The Black Album"), which is the best selling album in history of Soundscan scanning 16 million albums in the United States alone. Their latest album, Death Magnetic, was certified platinum just six weeks after it debuted atop the Billboard Top 200 Album chart in October 2008. Death Magnetic charted at #1 in 32 countries. Metallica have also garnered numerous awards and accolades, including nine Grammy Awards, two American Music Awards, and multiple MTV Video Music Awards, and were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2009. Most recently the band spent 18 months touring and developing the staging for their groundbreaking 3D feature film Metallica Through The Never. Last summer, Metallica unveiled a brand new stage in Mexico City that featured iconic elements that spanned its 30-year career and is featured in the film. They played eight shows to nearly 180,000 fans at the Sports Arena in Mexico City. Starring Dane DeHaan, the film features dazzling pyrotechnics, the most elaborate live-performance stage ever built, state-of-the-art 3D photography captured on up to 24 cameras simultaneously and pioneering and innovative sound mixing. Metallica Through The Never was the first feature film to be released exclusively by IMAX in all of its theaters in North America. The film will be released on DVD, Blu-ray, 3D Blu-ray, digitally, and V.O.D. (Video On Demand) on January 28, 2014 through Blackened Recordings.

AXEL RUDI PELL Releases First Snippet From Into the Storm
Available January 21, 2014 in North America
AXEL RUDI PELL will release his new studio album January 21, 2014 in North America via Steamhammer/SPV. Today AXEL RUDI PELL has given fans the chance to check out a sample of one of the songs from Into the Storm HERE.
There aren't many artists around whose career has already lasted a quarter of a century. But then, there are even fewer who have experienced no setbacks whatsoever in 25 years. And there are only a few guitarists in the world of rock music who have created their own brand just with their name, causing over 1.3 million people to buy their music. AXEL RUDI PELL is one of those rare exceptions. And so it doesn't come as a surprise that his latest offering "Into The Storm" is also one of his best; after all, anniversaries are always special.
Although this is the fifteenth studio album (featuring his own material) in PELL's career to date, he didn't approach it any different than its predecessors. "There hasn't been one day in my life when I haven't been pushed by Ronnie James Dio's spiritto write something mystical," the 53-year-old explains his motivation. Even though ARP has nothing against efficiency and discipline, creativity doesn't come at the flick of a switch. "I couldn't sit down with it and compose from nine to five, that doesn't work for me." As inspiration doesn't comply with office hours, Pell praises the technological achievements of recent years. "My cell phone is almost like a mobile recording studio, it's always busy. And this time things worked particularly well."
Despite the fact that the omensweren't so good: in July of 2013 he unfortunately had to part ways with drummer Mike Terrana because their schedules didn't match. After 15 years together, this wasn't an easy step for either of them, but there was no slander or dirty linen washed in public - in contrast to most line-up changes, there wasn't any of the usual background noise that seems to have become the rule in this industry. A fact Pell has every right to be proud of: "We're all professionals and we behave like professionals."
So what to do? As Bobby Rondinelli (Rainbow, Black Sabbath, Blue Öyster Cult etc.) has always been one of his favorite drummers, he was on the top of Pell's list. And now Rondinelli has joined the band, as simple as that. No miracle, but the result of AXEL's excellent reputation within the hard rock and metal community. "Bobby had heard a lot about me and immediately joined."
And this is the point where Pell has come full circle, because the Brooklyn-born drummer is not only the first of his musicians to have played in one of his favorite groups (guess who that might be?), but Rondinelli has also brought fresh blood into the band: "Bobby fell in love with the new songs head over heels, I didn't have to tell him what to do, he did everything right the first time." The other American in the band, singer Johnny Gioeli, is also raving about the new material: "I think 'Into The Storm' is one the best ARP albums ever." Why?
Well, the compositions are catchier, more elaborate. Melodic rockers like "Long Way To Go" and "High Above" alternate with up-tempo songs like "Tower Of Lies" and "Burning Chains". Of one Axel's most beautiful ballads to date, "When Truth Hurts", is almost as heartrending as the touching Neil Young cover "Hey Hey My My". Epic masterpieces such as "Touching Heaven" and the ten-minute-plus title track still have that 70s touch we all love. There are also two extra tracks for the Digipak: the glorious instrumental "White Cats (Opus #6 Scivolare)" is likely to see "guitar hero" fanatics go nuts and the Blackmore's Night cover "Way To Mandalay" could easily have been borrowed from a Rainbow album now. ARP is on the next level now and it wouldn't be a great surprise if he cracked the German Top 10 this time, seeing that his 2012 release Circle Of The Oath already went to no. 16! He's certainly earned it. If someone has delivered the goods for 25 years, there's got to be a reward. Note: anniversaries are always special. BTW: There will be a special 3-hour-plus show at Germany's "Bang Your Head festival" in 2014, including a Steeler reunion and lots of surprise guests.

|British heavy metal legends SAXON and UDR Music are pleased to reveal a brand new Unplugged and Strung Up album teaser, which also includes snippets of interviews with vocalist Biff Byford. Check out the exclusive new video via UDR Music’s YouTube page here: http://youtu.be/551z5RxDn40
Unplugged and Strung Up hits stores in the US on Monday, November 25th due to the holiday week, via UDR Music.
With Unplugged and Strung Up, SAXON introduces a carefully selected collection of unique, fresh and adventurous interpretations of material previously heard only with raw heavy metal thunder, the point is triumphantly underscored.
Unplugged and Strung Up reveals layers and pieces previously dormant in many of the 14 classic SAXON songs chosen for this makeover, thanks to some ear-catching new arrangements and mixes. Recorded, mixed and mastered with Andy Sneap in Derbyshire, UK earlier this year, Biff and co. re-evaluated, re-worked and re-energized the towering likes of ‘The Eagle Has Landed’ and ‘Crusader’ by introducing orchestral dynamics to offer added dimension. ‘Frozen Rainbow’ from the band's 1979 debut, gets a stunning acoustic reprisal which transports it into a power ballad to be proud of, whilst ‘Red Star Falling’ soars and sweeps the emotions with its orchestrally-arranged dovetail.
As if this reinvention wasn't enough, SAXON superfans and collectors can purchase a digipack version of the release which will include 2002's storming set of full-volume, pedal-to-the-metal re-recorded hits Heavy Metal Thunder. Featuring staple SAXON stormers such as ‘Motorcycle Man’, ‘Strong Arm of the Law’ and ‘Dallas 1pm’, it is a quintessential part of any collection. Order your copy of the digipack version here via Amazon.

|Winchester Rebels are making their first and yet highly anticipated tour accompanied by a new EP release.
Thank you for taking the time to consider us for a donation. We have a NEW EP to record just in time to take on the road for our first official tour!
As some of you may know, we are a completely independent and self-funded band. We need your help raising money so we can take Winchester Rebels to the next level. With the money we raise we plan to use it for the creation and marketing of our next album "Blood, Sweat & Gears" as well as going on our first tour. There is a lot involved in creating an album so it is professional and holds up in the music industry. Hiring an awesome producer, studio recording time, more studio recording time, mixing, mastering, band photo shoots, graphic design, pressing/printing, is pretty standard. Our last album "Three Sheets To The Wind" is a great album, nominated for "2012 Rock Album of the Year" by the Los Angeles Music Awards. Unfortunately, "Three Sheets To The Wind" was missing a very important element. There was no marketing campaign for it therefore it has not been heard by the masses. We work too hard on our music and we can't afford for our music not to be heard. So this time, we are following this CD release with our first US tour.
This November 14th we will be embarking or our first mini U.S. tour. This is just the start of our journey and hopefully many more tours throughout the whole U.S.
NOV. 14 - SEVEN BAR AND GRILL - Santa Barbara, CA
NOV. 15 - VAMPD VEGAS - Las Vegas, NV
NOV. 16 - BUFFALO ROSE - Golden, CO
NOV. 17 - LION'S LAIR - Denver, CO
NOV. 18 - HOUSE PARTY - Kansas City, MO
NOV. 19 - THE PHOENIX - Fayetteville, AR
NOV. 20 - DOWNTOWN LOUNGE - Tulsa, OK
NOV. 21 - CURTAIN CLUB - Dallas, TX
NOV. 22 INFEST - Austin, TX
NOV. 23 - BIG FISH PUB - Tempe, AZ
A large portion of the money that we raise here will be needed for our tour expenses. GAS, HOTELS, VAN RENTAL, INSURANCE, FOOD & MARKETING. We will have plenty of posters to print. We have also hired Tinderbox Music to push our music to the local college radio in the cities that we are playing.
We have some awesome NEW songs to bring you and we are pumped to get them out there. Your support will not only help us produce this CD but most importantly, give us the opportunity to get out on the road and play for you live.
$10,000 is the absolute minimum that we need to make the new EP and tour possible. The truth is, it costs a lot more than that to do all of the traditional marketing and distribution that it takes to get an EP/album on the shelves... and it costs even more to pack up and tour. Those expenses are why artists rely on support from a label. Simply put, the more money we raise the more we can do ourselves. Which gives us control, and will ultimately allow us to give more back to you.
IMPORTANT: If we don't reach our goal of $10,000 we receive $0 and you will not be charged.

DEJJ's Josh Epstein and Daniel Zott explain: "Before we even knew we were going to make a second album we began playing this song live almost two years ago and have been dodging questions after shows about when it was going to be made available ever since." The track premiered with Conan O'Brien's Team Coco yesterday.

The band performed the song on Conan last month along with "War Zone" as a web exclusive. "Dancefloor" is off to a great start at radio, with early support coming from KCRW, KROQ and Sirius Alt Nation. | Russia’s LOUNA Releases New Lyric Video for Hard-Hitting Track “Fight Club” with Noisecreep.com Today
On Tour with THE PRETTY RECKLESS and HEAVEN’S BASEMENT - Beginning Tomorrow in Jacksonville, FL
Female-fronted Russian hard rockers LOUNA and Noisecreep.com are exclusively releasing a brand new lyric video for the band’s new track ‘Fight Club’, cut from their most recent full-length release, Behind a Mask. Noisecreep also released a humorous and eye-opening Top 10 list of the reasons “Why You’re Probably Not Taking Louna Seriously”. Check it out!
The lyric video includes exclusive live performance footage of the band at Milk in Moscow, Russia, giving all they’ve got to a massive crowd of fans (this also happens to be the shoot location of the band’s Live Concert DVD Box Set and MTV’s upcoming documentary “Rebel Music”, which LOUNA is featured in). The lyric video was edited by Alex Yelagin of Headshot Video and directed by Travis Leake.
Front-woman Lou Gevorkian states, “‘Fight Club’ is our way of telling people that together we can change the system and make the government fear us, instead of the other way around. You must BECOME the pain. It's not enough to change the system if you want to build something new, you have to be strong enough to break something inside of yourself so that you can build something newer and better for the future. Before you can build something new, you have to destroy the old. This was the idea of the book Fight Club and it's the same theme of this song.”
LOUNA recently announced their first ever U.S. tour with The Pretty Reckless and Heaven’s Basement, hitting the road tomorrow in Jacksonville, FL! The tour comes to a close in Washington, D.C. on November 3rd. Tickets are on sale now, so get them while you can experience LOUNA during their first visit to the U.S.! LOUNA is pleased to come to the states to show American fans that outside of all of the oppression and discrimination going on in Russia right now, there are good, real people that want to spread a message of peace and bring people together.
See below for all confirmed tour dates:

11/01 - Cincinnati, OH, Bogart’s
11/03 - Washington DC, The Fillmore
No other rock group from Russia has exploded onto the music scene quite as rapidly as LOUNA. Their first English language album, Behind A Mask, was released on April 30, 2013 via Red Decade Records and MEG/RED. Frontwoman Lousine Gevorkian was named the best female rock vocalist in Russia in February of 2013 at the annual Nashe Awards, the closest award show in Russia to the Grammy's or American Music Awards for rock musicians. She was nominated for the same award the year before.
LOUNA are the most commercially successful rock band of the modern protest movement (of which Pussy Riot has become the most internationally renowned). They donated their song "The Time of X" to the White Album project raising funds for Pussy Riot's support and defense. MTV USA came to Moscow in the Fall of 2012 and will feature LOUNA in an upcoming documentary about protest musicians around the world called "Rebel Music" airing in October on MTV.
After the release of their first EP, which lyrically focused on the many modern social problems that exist, they were quickly named the 2009 Best New Artist of the Year at the annual Russian Alternative Music Prize (RAMP) awards. They released their first album, "Let's Get Louder" in December of 2010, selling out every venue during their first national tour of Russia supporting the album. Two singles, "Fight Club" and "Let's Get Louder" reached #1 on the Russian radio charts, with "Fight Club" remaining in the top 10 for a record-breaking 16 weeks and also being named the 2011 Rock Song of the Year at the annual Nashe Awards. Along with this, LOUNA was nominated for Breakthrough Artist and Solo Performance of the year. "Mama," their first single from their February 2012 album, "The Time of X", went straight to #1 on the Russian radio charts
LOUNA has performed on the main stage as a headliner at every major festival throughout Russia, and is almost universally considered the most in demand young rock band in all of the Russian world. They have played in Russia with numerous international artists such as Limp Bizkit, Billy Talent, Paramore, The Killers, Bullet for My Valentine and many others. In early 2012, they were invited to perform as one of the main headliners at the 50th-birthday concert festival honoring Russian rock legend Victor Tsoi of the band KINO, playing to audiences of over 15,000 people in both Moscow and St. Petersburg.
Lou Gevorkian (vocals)
Vitaly Demidenko (bass)
Rouben Kazariyan (guitar)
Sergey Ponkratiev (guitar)

| MOTÖRHEAD to Release New Album “Aftershock” in North America on October 22, 2013
Aftershock track listing:
Coup de Grace
Lost Woman Blues
End Of Time
Do You Believe
Dust And Glass
Going To Mexico
Silence When You Speak To Me
Queen Of The Damned
Keep Your Powder Dry
Aftershock is available in four different formats, wherever music is sold! The album can be purchased in CD (limited edition digipack), CD (jewel case), Vinyl (gatefold – 180-Gram Single LP), and digital formats. A North American pre-order will be announced in the coming weeks.
“Steal it if you must, buy it if you can!” says Lemmy, who’s pride in the album is so immense that guests to his home and dressing room in the last couple of months have been treated to extremely loud airings of the rough mixes, while Phil Campbell adds, “I really think the variation on the album shows that we’ve dug deep and produced some of our best work for a long time.”
“It is,” says Mikkey Dee, “a really, really strong MOTÖRHEAD album, one that really does define everything this band stands for.”
He’s not wrong. Because MOTÖRHEAD are MOTÖRHEAD are MOTÖRHEAD…and their Aftershock will be felt worldwide…
Silence when you speak to me!
Like the juggernaut you prayed would keep on crushing you, like the friend that still royally pisses off your parents and like a loyal standard of crunchy, greasy, punky, bluesy, gutsy screw-you rock’n’roll, MOTÖRHEAD stride out through their 38th year brandishing more swagger and attitude then your ears could begin to comprehend.
On October 22, 2013, MOTÖRHEAD will deliver their 21st studio album, an enormous and prophetic Aftershock. Recorded at NRG Studios in North Hollywood, it is a true leveler, a crushing confirmation of everything MOTÖRHEAD stands for, marching from the dust storm to deliver 14 belting statements which see MOTÖRHEAD in perhaps their best writing form for years. There’s swagger, there’s punch, there’s speed and there’s dirty filthy grooves, Lemmy Kilmister, Phil Campbell and Mikkey Dee showing clearly thatMOTÖRHEAD is not simply a band, it’s a genre!
That genre, more than ever, resonates with hearty independence and swashbuckle. Whether it’s “Heartbreaker” throwing hooks and riffs into your head, the double-kick concussiveness of “Paralyzed” with Campbell’s fuelled attack, or the thunderous ride-off-the-Rickenbacker Motörcharge of “Going To Mexico”, Aftershock takes gleeful twists and turns which re-announce the Motörlegend. There’s the smoky biker bar blues in the shape of “Dust And Glass”, Lemmy’s late-night vocals evoking last-call and melancholy, the pogo-powered punk-spiked stab of “Queen Of The Damned” and the deliciously steamy, humid mournful “Lost Woman Blues” which midway through decides to kick over the stool and stomp out the saloon door.

ORGY has officially launched their Indiegogo campaign just over 24 hours ago to help raise funds and awareness that ORGY is back and bigger than ever! With a goal set of raising $100,000 in 60 days we need ORGY fans to come together like never before and help "crowdfund" the band back to stardom. Money raised will be spent on recording, production, distribution, music videos, touring and even starting a new record label to bring new music to the rest of the world. This is a huge opportunity and an extreme undertaking, which is why ORGY is calling upon their fans for help and support. "Without the fans, we are nothing... This is why we need our fans to become something" - Jay Gordon
Why We Need You - The music industry today is very different from what the music industry was, what used to be a thriving industry of large labels has now dwindled down to just a few and has made it extremely difficult to be successful. As much of a disappointment this is, it has also opened a door for us to start a brand new label, and with your help, we can achieve ground breaking results with not just ORGY, but giving other bands an opportunity and chance in the industry with us. Without a major label backing and funding us it makes it very difficult and expensive to record, produce and distribute our music to the fans. Once we do that we need to hit the road and tour, not just nationally, but internationally as well (can you believe we have never toured Europe or Japan?). Essentially we want you guys, the fans, to help get the new band and label off the ground, that way we can maintain creative freedom and do what WE want to do and not what another label tells us to do.
We have been funding ORGY from our own pockets and have reached a point where we have taken it as far as we possibly can by ourselves, and the wells run dry. This is where we need your help, without proper backing we are unable to bring our music to the fans, so we are asking everyone to come together and back us, be our supporters, and enable us to bring our music and other artists to you and the rest of the world.
The Impact - The impact from what could come from this is enormous. With your support and backing we can launch ORGY into a national and international name once again. We have more dedication and drive to make this a success than ever before, not only with the music but with the label as well. This will give new bands the opportunity to be heard and succeed as well as ORGY. We just simply can't continue out of our pockets anymore and going after a major label just isn't the right path for us. We ask that you be a part of something new, something big, help revive ORGY and help bring new music to the world.
Other Ways to Help - We understand that not everyone is able or willing to support us financially, but there are many ways that you can help us and support us. Spread the word! Just as important as money is letting people know that we're back, you can share our facebook page, tell your friends, blast social media sites and anything else you can think of to get the name of ORGY back out there! You are all amazing and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for checking out our campaign, supporting us and getting our name back out there! Get ready for the new ORGY!
History of ORGY - Originally formed in 1997, ORGY was signed to Korn's label Elementree Records and released their debut album Candyass in 1998. Featuring their two hit singles, a cover of the New Order song "Blue Monday" and "Stitches" along with the song "Revival" featuring Jonathan Davis of KORN, the album went on to sell almost two million copies. ORGY appeared on the Family Values Tour with Korn, Limp Bizkit, Ice Cube, Incubus and Rammstein and were featured on the live compilation album from the tour released in 1999. Their second album, the science fiction-themed Vapor Transmission, was released in 2000 featuring the singles "Fiction (Dreams in Digital)" and "Opticon" and the band later released the song "Faces" for the soundtrack to the movie Zoolander.
As the demand from fans for new music and a tour continued to grow over the past few years, founding member Jay Gordon (vocals) hand-selected guitarist Carlton Bost (former of Deadsy), guitarist Ashburn Miller (also from Deadsy), bassist Nic Speck (from Run-Run-Run and George Lynch) and drummer Bobby Amaro (from Nude) to come together and carry on the ORGY name. The guys, who’ve all known each other from their previous projects, have mutual respect both professionally and creatively for one another and are excited to be working together to bring ORGY back to the top.
