Airbourne & Bullet For My Valentine
5/12/10

Aussie band Airbourne, are following in the footsteps of Rock and Roll Hall of Famers, AC/DC. Singer/guitarist Joel O'Keefe did his best Bon Scott impression as the group opened with "DIAMOND IN THE ROUGH". They rolled on with "CHEWING THE FAT" from their latest CD NO GUTS NO GLORY. Guitarist David Roads and Joel hit all the right notes on "GIRLS IN BLACK". The fun metal vibe kept growing with "CHEAP WINE AND CHEAPER WOMAN".

"NO WAY BUT THE HARD WAY" kept this set on the right path. These four men showed their true colors with "TOO MUCH TOO YOUNG TOO FAST". Airbourne finished their night, "RUNNING WILD", as Joel O'Keefe went into the pit to be with the fans. The security guards were caught off guard when the energetic lead singer jumped into the pit and then proceeded to walk through the sweaty crowd, not missing a lick on his solo and then got boosted back up onstage. The fans went thoroughly crazy for this spontaneous stunt.

Airbourne definitely is keeping the torch burning for the old school rock roll!!

Direct from Wales, metal band, Bullet For My Valentine, took the stage at the House of Blues with a deafening roar from their faithful fans. These same fans helped the bands' new CD ‘FEVER’, debut at number three on the Billboard hot 200 CD charts. Bullet used "YOUR BETRAYAL" as their opening shot as the crowd went wild. The rhythm section of drummer Michael "Moose" Thomas and bassist Jason "Jay" James unleashed their fury on "FEVER". The fans energy helped the group in "WAKING THE DEMON". Bullet rolled over their faithful followers with "THESE THINGS” as the mosh pit grew.

BFMV proved there is a fine line between "PLEASURE AND PAIN" as some of the fans escaped the pit. Singer/guitarist Matt Tuck sounded like he ruled the world on "TEARS DON'T FALL" and most of the fans seemed to agree. Bullet picked up even more steam on "4 WORDS". Bullet For My Valentine headed down the home stretch with "THE LAST FIGHT".

Most of the fans sang along with every word Matt sang all night long.
The guys increased their heat with "SAY GOODNIGHT" as the set was winding down. This band poured it on for one last song. "SCREAM AIM FIRE" sent their fanatics into a frenzied chant of "Bullet, Bullet" to hear some more tunes from the band.

The guys returned fast to stop their audience from "BEGGING FOR MERCY". They rocked on some more with "HAND OF BLOOD" as both the band and their fans gave sweat and blood in the name of metal. They finished up this wonderful setlist with "ALONE" though we were all united by the music we couldn't feel less alone.
